It uses small amounts of filler to refine how the nose looks — for example softening the appearance of a bump, improving a droopy tip, or creating a straighter-looking profile. It adds volume and cannot make the nose smaller.
The nose has a complex blood supply that connects towards the vessels supplying the eye. In rare cases, filler injected into an artery here can cause serious complications, including effects on vision. This is why it must only ever be treated as a medical procedure by an experienced practitioner using appropriate safety measures.
When performed, results typically last in the region of 12 to 18 months before the hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body, though this varies from person to person.
They do different things. Non-surgical rhinoplasty adds filler to refine shape and can only add volume; surgical rhinoplasty can reduce and restructure the nose. For some goals, surgery is the more appropriate option.
