What is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty? | Leicester Clinic

Please note: we do not carry out this procedure at Dr Natalia Clinic.

The nose is one of the highest-risk areas of the face to inject. In the interest of patient safety, Dr Natalia has chosen not to offer non-surgical rhinoplasty. This page is here for information only. If you are considering treatment, we are happy to discuss safer alternatives at a consultation.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty — sometimes called a “liquid nose job” — uses dermal filler to refine the shape of the nose without surgery. It is one of the highest-risk non-surgical procedures because of where and how it is injected. For that reason, Dr Natalia Clinic has chosen not to offer non-surgical rhinoplasty. This page explains what the treatment involves and why we take that position.

What it can and cannot do

Non-surgical rhinoplasty adds small amounts of hyaluronic acid filler to smooth or rebalance the appearance of the nose. In principle it can help with:

  • Softening the look of a dorsal bump by adding definition above and below it
  • Improving the appearance of a droopy or under-projected tip
  • Creating a straighter-looking profile
  • Improving symmetry

It cannot make a nose smaller, and it is not a replacement for surgical rhinoplasty. It adds volume to change how the nose looks — it does not remove tissue.

Why it carries particular risk

The nose has a complex, variable blood supply that connects back towards the vessels supplying the eye. In rare cases, filler injected into an artery in this area can cause serious complications, including effects on vision. This is well documented, and it is why non-surgical rhinoplasty should only ever be considered as a medical procedure requiring particular expertise — never a quick cosmetic add-on. You can read more in our journal article on why ultrasound guidance matters in non-surgical rhinoplasty.

If you are considering it

If non-surgical rhinoplasty is something you are thinking about, we would encourage you to choose an experienced, doctor-led provider who uses appropriate safety measures. Dr Natalia is always happy to discuss your goals and safer alternatives at a consultation.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer non-surgical rhinoplasty at Dr Natalia Clinic?

No. Because the nose is one of the highest-risk areas of the face to inject, Dr Natalia has chosen not to offer non-surgical rhinoplasty. We are happy to discuss safer alternatives at a consultation.

What can non-surgical rhinoplasty do?

It uses small amounts of filler to refine how the nose looks — for example softening the appearance of a bump, improving a droopy tip, or creating a straighter-looking profile. It adds volume and cannot make the nose smaller.

Why is it considered higher risk?

The nose has a complex blood supply that connects towards the vessels supplying the eye. In rare cases, filler injected into an artery here can cause serious complications, including effects on vision. This is why it must only ever be treated as a medical procedure by an experienced practitioner using appropriate safety measures.

How long do results last?

When performed, results typically last in the region of 12 to 18 months before the hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body, though this varies from person to person.

Non-surgical vs surgical rhinoplasty — what is the difference?

They do different things. Non-surgical rhinoplasty adds filler to refine shape and can only add volume; surgical rhinoplasty can reduce and restructure the nose. For some goals, surgery is the more appropriate option.
